The Task:
Similar to the Haxan film poster I designed, I wanted to create my version of the 1922 Nosferatu poster. Another one of my favourites from the silent era of film.
Challenges:
Because so many tribute posters have been made for this film, it’s very hard to stand apart from them or follow them too closely. My objective for this poster was to focus on texture from the film, specifically, old film grain.
Outcome:
The final result was a poster with an aged aesthetic, with an almost washed-out, grainy film texture, that truly represents the film.
