The Task:
I wanted to create a poster paying tribute to the noise music scene, which is one I’m a big fan of.
Challenges:
The main challenge I faced was giving the poster a very D.I.Y. look and feel. I wanted the design to look like the festival was put together by the artists who are participating in the show. That this was not a major music festival, but an underground one.
Outcome: The final result was a poster that captured the essence of noise music. Noise music is a genre which utilizes many textures in order to build tension or atmosphere in its music. My idea was to make the textures of noise music the focal point of this poster’s design.
